Design
Architect’s plan review, overall concept, space planning, and preliminary layouts. Defininition of style, color palettes, materials, and furniture placement to create a cohesive vision. This phase includes mood boards, sketches, and early drawings to communicate the design direction to the client for feedback and refinement.
Decor: Selection & Sourcing
This includes selecting artwork, accessories, textiles, lighting fixtures, rugs, plants, and other styling pieces that complement the overall design. Sourcing involves finding the right items, whether custom, retail, or vintage, within the client’s budget and timeline.
Design
Development
Refinement of the approved Schematics. Production of CAD genrated drawings, material selections, lighting plans, ceiling finishes, and other key elements. It bridges the gap between concept and construction by resolving technical aspects and ensuring everything aligns with the client’s vision, budget, and functional needs.
Decor: Purchasing, Logistics & Installation
Managing decor procurement, delivery, and placement of all decorative items. The designer handles purchasing, tracks shipments, coordinates with vendors, oversees deliveries, and ensures each piece is installed correctly and styled as planned. This phase ensures a smooth transition from concept to completion, bringing the design vision to life down to the final detail.
Construction Documentation
Digital production of design developed floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and builder handbook (material specifications) that guide contractors and trades in accurately building the design. This stage ensures clarity and consistency serving as the official reference throughout the construction process.
Project
Oversight
Alacasa DS monitors the construction or installation process to ensure that the design intent is being properly executed. While the designer does not manage or direct the construction work, we visit the site regularly, review progress, answer design-related questions, and address issues that arise. Alacasa DS acts as a liaison between the client and contractor to help maintain design quality and consistency.
